With such a unique concept, you may have a few questions.
Q. What is a VIP Party Booth? How does it work?
A. Each shared birthday party comes with a private, open-air VIP booth for kids/teens overlooking the dance floor. Large booths can fit up to 12 kids/10 teens and small booths fit up to 10 kids/6 teens.
Q. Where do parents sit?
A. Each VIP booth comes with a parent table for 8 guests at the back of the dance floor, just outside your child's party booth. For teen parties, you will find a "Parent's Lounge" which provides a bit more privacy for you to relax, and grab a coffee from The GLOW Store inside the venue.
Q. May I bring in my own food?
A. Typically our shared birthday parties are mid-afternoon, therefore your birthday cake and basic snacks will be more than sufficient.
While we understand that some parents like to have food for their guests, we recommend purchasing popcorn, chips and/or cotton candy from our Glow Store. These items are always a hit with the kids!
In terms of adult guests, you may bring in veggie or fruit platters, pizza or sandwiches only. No sauces, particularly anything red or oily and no orange chips (i.e. cheese puffs, nacho chips, bbq chips etc.) For your convenience, you may order sandwiches from Subway Restaurant Catering and we will set it up for you at your parent table for you.
You may also order coffee service and cookies through GLOW.
Q. What about my birthday cake?
A. Cake tables have been provided for you at VIP booths for your birthday cake. Parents are asked to set their cake up and light the candles when instructed as all parties will light the candles in unisen and sing happy birthday together.
Q. Does GLOW have a freezer for my ice cream cake?
A. Yes we can freeze your cake for your VIP Party Host will deliver your cake to your booth just before the candle lighting takes place.
Q. Can I book my child’s party with the same age groups?
A. We will do whatever we can to ensure your child has a wonderful party and if that means they are more comfortable with the same age group we will do our best. Though we can’t guarantee age groups, you are free to ask the ages of the other children booked on your date. When we can accommodate specific age requests we will do our very best.
TIP: Younger children will typically book during the day on weekends from 1pm – 3pm, while older kids will book their parties on Friday evenings.
Q. Why do I have to pay for my party in advance?
A. Due to the nature of the shared party format we are handling an extraordinary number of clients on any given day and therefore need to book and process parties in a very efficient manner. We do not want to chase you down on the day of the party when you are with your guests and it is very busy in the venue.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Clients have 48 hours in which to cancel their shared birthday party from the time of booking/invoice with GLOW without any penalty and a full refund of the paid invoice. Clients cancelling a party after one week of the booking date will lose 2% of their payment. Clients cancelling one week prior to an event must pay for the entire event to cover lost revenue and work facilitated (planning, purchases, invitation creation etc.) and entertainment booked for your party.

Q. When do birthday parties take place at GLOW?
A. Birthday parties take place on the weekends, depending on availability. Generally kids parties take place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 1pm - 3pm while Teen Parties take place Friday evenings between 7:30pm to 10:00pm.

Q. What if I have more kids than booth allowance?
A. Additional guests will be charged $25 per person. Please note, booths have been carefully designed for comfort so highly suggest adding in 1 or 2 more guests maximum so that the booths don’t get overly crowded.
Q. What if no one else books a party on my date?
A. Lucky you for you will end up with a private party! Not to worry, this is a very rare occurrence. It is impossible to guarantee how many bookings we get on any given weekend. Sometimes the venue is completely sold out and sometimes it’s almost sold out.
Q. What ages are your kids birthday parties?
A. At the current time, our shared birthday parties are designed for kids between the ages of 6 and 12.
We do offer parties for tweens/teens on Friday evenings from age 12 -16. GLOW is a safe and age appropriate venue for children between the ages of 6-16 but we strongly discourage children below the age of 6 for our shared parties due to volume levels and the setup is simply designed for older kids.
Q. How far in advance can I book my party?
A. We do fill up fast, but it is recommended that you book a minimum of 4 weeks before your party to 10 weeks maximum before to ensure you get your requested date.
Q. Is this a black-light glow party?
A. While our name is called GLOW, we are not a specifically “glow in the dark” venue. We offer black light throughout the venue, but the term “Glow” refers to the glow of the venue with special effect lighting, LED and of course some black-light sprinkled throughout. GLOW refers to a mood, ambiance and vibe.
Q. What should my child wear?
A. Just as dancing is a form of expression, where what makes your child feel best. We’re casual at GLOW. Comfortable shoes are ideal and layers for dancers who get hot while dancing. We ask that you bring a pair of dry shoes for wet/winter months.
Q. Anything else I should be aware of?
A. GLOW is a GUM FREE environment. Please ensure that your children/guests are not chewing gum on arrival.
Note: Guest’s chewing gum in the venue will be asked to spit it out.
